NTRA TODAY IN THOROUGHBRED RACING HISTORY
April 11
- 2009 General Quarters, at odds of 14-1, won the G1 Blue Grass Stakes over Keeneland's Polytrack. Owner Tom McCarthy, a 75-year-old former high school principal, claimed General Quarters for $20,000 in his racing debut.
